Baby Legs!!!

www.babybotbums.co.uk now stock GORGEOUS baby legs! We have over 40 beautiful styles for you to choose from and until midnight on Sunday they are only £1.69 per pair!!

We have had baby legs for some time, but in the last week and a half they have been in constant use. My little one has started to crawl and they are perfect for protecting her little knees on our wooden floors! For days about the house, the create less laundry and they make changing my wriggle monsters nappy a bit easier (I was going to say a breeze but that is a lie!!).

I was chatting my non cloth using friend about baby legs and she just did not get them at all.  She asked what was there point - Miss O has plenty of clothes?  I explained that now the weather is warmer she is not wearing tights so much and her little knees were getting sore. So we slip on the baby legs and hey presto her knees do not get bashed up!!
She gave me a funny look and told me that they must be a girl thing as she could not picture her boy in them.

It got me thinking. Baby legs are not just a girl thing they are just not a disposable thing!! They very much could be, but mums that use disposables do not show off their babies nappy - they do not gush over the latest design! When I suggested this to her her response was even if she could be bothered with the "faff" (I do not know how many times I have told her that there is no "faff" in cloth) of cloth nappies she would not be taking her little man out the house with no trousers on!!

Unfortunately - she is just someone that I am never going to be able to get over to the fluffy side! But hey, it is her loss!!

Wet Bags.........

Are not just fabulous for those of us that use cloth nappies!! No, no, no all of us mummies should have one of these gorgeous bags in our out and about bag, under the buggy or in the boot of the car!

Why??

Well they are simply fabulous and the perfect way of getting wet or icky things home without messing up your bag, buggy or car.

Wet bags are perfect for wet swimming clothes. Pop the saoking wet bits in one of these bags and when you get home un-zip and chuck in the washing machine.
They are great for getting muddy/wet clothes home from school trips or a day out at the park or beach. Again un-zip and chuck in the washing machine - no need to touch whatever your little cherub has been rolling around in!
But wet bags are great for storing the wet buggy rain cover in when the rain goes off! Stick the wet cover in the bag and take out and put in the usual drying place when you get home!

There are millions of other uses for these great bags, but these were just some of the top ones that I wanted to share. It also shows that you do not need a baby in cloth nappies to own one!

So on that note - get over to http://www.babybotbums.co.uk/ and get yourself a gorgeous wet bag for only £3.49!!

Soggy Saturday!!

Where did the sunshine go?

I had to dry the last nappy wash inside on the clothes horse - I thought that was over until at least October! Wishful thinking perhaps??

It is a bit damp here again today and I am working so no Saturday fun for me today! So on that note I thought I would cheer myself (and anyone else that needs it) with this.........

www.babybotbums.co.uk has been re-stocked with some previously out of stock styles - including the purple with small white stars (minkee).  Which can been seen below being modeled by the gorgeous (you will have to take my word for that as it is just a bum shot) Miss O!

So get over there now and get one of these (or any others that you fancy) in your basket!!

Ooopps!!

My buying finger came out a few nights ago and it has made a fluffy purchase each day since! Oh dear!!

I think it is packaging up all the gorgeous fluffy parcels everyday that has got me in search of some cute fluff to show off in summer! Now I would just break into my - lets call it a - store room and indulge in some http://www.babybotbums.co.uk/ prettyness, but we have most of them at the moment and I had something more specific in mind!

STRAWBERRIES!!!

I have a thing about them at the moment. Miss O has quite a few outfits for the summer with strawberries on them, so I thought it was only right that she had a super cute nappy (well nappy wrap in our case) to go with them! Also as the weather gets better she will be out of vests so she NEEDS cute nappies for under her pretty dresses!

Now I just have to wait for all my purchases to make it to me from the USA. Worry not I will post pics as soon as I have the fluff here with me!

Now I think I better start thinking about having a slight de-stash........

Hello!

Hello and welcome to the BabyBotBums Blog!

I am mummy to 1 year old Miss O, we have been using cloth nappies for 11 months and we love them! So much so that we recently opened http://www.babybotbums.co.uk/ and online nappy store selling gorgeous and affordable cloth nappies.

I thought that I would use this first post to introduce myself - I do hope that I do not bore you all too much! While I was pregnant I was an avid reader of baby and pregnancy blogs, it was here that I found that real/cloth nappies are not just terry squares, pins and rubber pants!  I started looking into cloth more and found that there was great savings when you compared them to disposables and then there is the "green" issue!

I have to be honest, the money saving side of things was what made me decide to go for cloth. My other half and I are both self employed and I new that the more we could save pre baby meant the longer I could be at home when the baby was with us.  I knew nothing about cloth nappies and knew no-one that used them so I started researching them on online forums where there were mums using them. From there I started picking up some "pre-loved" nappies in a selection of styles (saving yet more money) as I had no idea what we were going to like or what was going to suit our baby.

Once she arrived Miss O was too small for all of the cloth that we had bought, so we have 4 weeks of disposables and then moved her into the cloth. It was not long until we found out that pocket nappies were the ones for us. So I sold on what we did not use and stocked up on what we liked. I then discovered the gorgeous printed minkee nappies from China. I love them and I loved the prices - soon I was addicted and we had a drawer full of colourful nappies to go with almost every outfit.

The only thing that I found not so good about the China nappy was the length of time they took to get to me. It seemed to take longer each time I ordered.......

So from there I started looking into things a bit more and www.babybotbums.co.uk was born!  We stock the gorgeous minkee prints that I love so much and the prices are just as fabulous, but what we have, we have in stock in the UK and the delivery time is a few days - not up to 6 weeks.

We are still very new, very small and very much finding our way. But we aim to give the best service that we can and we are hoping to add to our range very soon!
